Zac Efron, Tom Cruise Successor?

Among the pretenders for the title of the biggest star in Hollywood, Zac Efron is slowly starting to work his way to the head of the pack. This year, he appears in the big screen production "Charlie St. Cloud". It is a tear-jerking role thanks to which the actor is clearly gaining prominence.

It looks like Zac has benefited from his relationship with Tom Cruise. The former golden boy of Hollywood and his likely successor have recently become very pally. Tom is apparently now a kind of guru in Zac's eyes and he listens avidly to his advice! Let's hope that when the young Efron reaches his forties his career doesn't flag as much as Tom's has recently!
