Pakistan should extend ML-1 until Gwadar

Pakistan should seriously consider extending Pakistan Railways Main Line- 1 from Karachi to Gwadar.  The country can achieve numerous benefits with this development including:

Seaports Connection:

The extension will connect all of Pakistan Seaports - Port of Karachi, Port Bin Qasim and Port of Gwadar together with the Main Line helping Cargo move more efficiently between the ports and to the north of the country.

Promote Beach Tourism:

A passenger line will also open up the coastal areas for tourism mainly the beaches along the entire route.

Develop the entire coastal belt:

This will develop communities living across the coastal belt.

Importance of Gwadar:

Gwadar will boost due to its direct connection with Karachi, one of the world's mega city.

Connection to Iran and Europe/Africa: 

The Main-Line 1 can also continue onwards to the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas and can meet their main line connecting to Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Fortunately, Karachi's existing Circular Railway infrastructure can be used to connect ML-1 to Makran Coast without acquiring expensive land in Karachi.
