Japan put on display at Karachi exhibition

A three-day spectacular photo exhibition, showing rich Japanese culture and everyday life concluded at Japan Consulate in Karachi on Sunday.

As many as 200 pictures, captured by Jehangir Khan, a senior photo journalist during his 6-month stay in Japan, showed colorful culture of The Land of The Rising Sun, its delectable cuisine and other full of life activities.

A cross-section of society attended the exhibition including Federal Minister for Labour and Manpower Syed Khursheed Shah, Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Khuhro, Sindh Minister Khalid Bin Vilayat and Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh Sharmila Farooqui besides well-known TV playwright Fatima Surayya Bajiya and people associated with art and culture.

Jehangir Khan received 6-month hands-on training on Digital Photo Journalism in Japan where he made his time extremely worthwhile by putting to use his journalistic skills and returned with his camera full of images showing exactly how life looks like everyday in Japan.

The speakers at the closing ceremony said the images put on display at the exhibition provided the viewers real life look at Japan without having to buy a plane ticket and make a journey out of Pakistan.
