Base Rock Cafe

Karachi, the city of lights, is the place to be on any given occasion. Our people never give up an opportunity to get out, enjoy themselves, and show that they have a meaning to celebrate, whether it’s a concert, a carnival or even a street party.

For such people, a very happening place is Base Rock Café [BRC] – a karaoke café in the friendly neighborhood of Defence, Phase 6, Karachi. This is the only bar with the widest variety of songs, be it love or tragedy, hip – hop or rock – BRC is always ready for the occasion. Setup in a basement, with spiral stairs, decorated with exposed pipes and diverse interiors, this café is dedicated to music, famous musicians and talented up-coming bands.

BRC is the only place in Karachi which offers under-ground bands, the opportunity to put together a complete performance and exhibit their skills in the art of music. This café has a regular and friendly clientele, abundant with people young and old, who are free on weekend nights, and want to to hang out at a fun place – BRC is ready for a party any time!

Base Rock Café also features the best quality karaoke music collection of over 20,000 CD songs, serving as a haven for music lovers, with its gigs and the best top-of-the-line sound system, with effect mixers. Every week, Base Rock Café holds theme nights, such as ‘Kishore-night’, which serves as a tribute to the legend Kishore Kumar. When the world lost the ‘King of Pop’, the ‘boy-man’, Michael Jackson, BRC did not loose chance to pay tribute to this prodigy, and dedicated a night to him.

Celebrating the demise of Michael Jackson was a big event, where young entertainers came forward with their prepared performances, and the audience karaoke-d along! The best bands of the night were Spoonful, No Idea and I.C.U, while the best guitarist was no doubt, Faraz Anwer, who was loved by everyone present.

Base Rock Café is a very eventful, thoroughly enjoyable café, to pass time at. While you’re sipping your favorite drink, munching down scrumptious snacks, moving to the music, or even just sitting back and chilling, as someone sings their heart out on stage, you’re always having the time of your life at BRC. I definitely recommend a visit!
